The first day back in the grind
Today the first day @ work with production running after a peaceful 12 days away from the grind. Startup did ave some hiccups with some of the machinery, but nothing too critical. Much better than all our expectations. Which reminds me I didn't check on the JIT's assuming no news is good news. Well Dave's been pretty affront on giving a heads up for the last few months, should be fine.
The weekend was pretty relaxed, got a whole lot done, though the most important one still remains open. Thats the Mission statement, didn't think that would be a great deal, but after consulting several resources I am compelled to spend a lot more time on the idea. The most intriguing and uniquely simple in its approach was Stephen Covey's institute FranklinCovey. http://www.franklincovey.com/missionbuilder/index.html
The results of one of the tabs, Journey were an absolute eyeopener, its like facing your subconscious in the conscious. Brilliantly simple and effective.
The biggest achievement of the weekend was going through the Forbes list and mailing recruiters directly, something I have intended to do for ages, but never got down to it. Something good did come out of it, coz most of the biggies have really exhaustive questionnaires to fill up, for most positions, most were common, but some did take me by surprise, requiring much contemplation, which was not my idea of an ideal Sunday.
Nonetheless time to get to a workout and then dinner. I feel a strong urge to splurge out the creative juices and cook something exquisite, am revved up.
If its edible & looks halfway decent shal post a pic.
